Participants may register for only one of these two activities.

Developed by the CERN Open Quantum Institute, The Quantum Diplomacy Game is an immersive, in-person “serious game” that lets players explore how societies might respond to the geopolitical and ethical consequences of quantum computing.
As a participant, you will be presented with a future scenario where large-scale quantum computers exist but remain costly and largely inaccessible. You will then take on the role of a scientist, policymaker, industry leader, or other stakeholder in the present day. As you form alliances and make decisions, you’ll learn how careful governance today can lay the groundwork for a quantum future.

The game lasts 2-3 hours, overseen by a trained facilitator.

  • The program will be canceled in the event of heavy rain or adverse weather.

  • Professional Pacers will accompany the group during the 1-hour run to guide your pace and

  • Please note, however, that the SiQEW 2026 & ICOSS 2026 is not responsible for personal insurance coverage.
